From water hazard to almost new: this is how we clean lake balls
Every golf ball has a story. Many of our lake balls were once hit by golfers who took the wrong angle and ended up in a pond or ditch. We then dive them out. But before they can go back on the course, we give them a thorough cleaning.
Why cleaning is so important
Lake balls often end up covered in sand, mud, or in ponds. Without proper cleaning, you, as a golfer, would be playing with a dirty, dull ball. At DeGolfballenman, we believe that lake balls should feel like fresh, reliable golf balls again. That's why we invest in a professional cleaning process.
Step 1 – Sorting and Preparation
The balls are collected in large bins and roughly sorted. This way, we remove twigs, leaves, and other debris before they go into the machine.
Step 2 – The cleaning machine does the hard work.
Then our machine does the hard work: brushing, rinsing, and rinsing again, until the balls shine again. You'll see the results immediately: from gray, muddy balls to sparkling white and clean.
Step 3 – Soaking and Rinsing
The balls are first placed in a bath full of soapy water, where dirt and grime are loosened. Then we rinse them thoroughly. This way, every ball comes out of the machine fresh and clean.
The result
After cleaning, we inspect each ball individually. Only balls that are still in good condition make it into our range. This way, you can be sure you're buying a lake ball that not only looks clean but also performs well in the game.
From a dirty ball to your next birdie
The entire process – from diving to cleaning – is carried out with care and passion. This way, we ensure you can play with balls that are virtually new at a competitive price.
